Some vehicles need to be bled with a scanner, utilizing the ABS pump.
I replaced my front and rear pads with EBC Yellow Stuff about 20k miles ago and noticed a HUGE difference in stopping power. Only problem is, I just had to replace them again a couple of weeks ago because they were almost metal-to-metal. Also, they made more brake dust than any other pads I've ever used. I replaced them with Centric Fleet Performance pads, which seem to work fine so far. They don't have quite the bite of the EBC pads, but they'll hopefully last longer.
