Taking a breather from rv.net

I think I need a break; it seems lately that about 2 of 3 threads become argumentative, and the same skillets of hash get reheated over & over: half-ton bashing, Toyota bashing, GVW vs do what you want, get a dually, gas vs diesel, torque vs HP, etc etc

Worst part is that it's brought out negativity in me; over the past few months I've been in a handful of skirmishes and that never used to happen over the first several years I followed this forum.

So call me GSP...I need to step away for a while...if/when I come back it'll be fun to catch up.

In the meantime, enjoy your trucks, campers, and most importantly the people you camp with!

    Hubby and I are fairly new to this forum and have learned so much from the senior members here.

    I hope that you will be able check in and find things the way they were for you and continue to advise newer RVers like us.

    I can appreciate the OP's sentiments. It frequently gets like a sandbox in an elementary school playground, not just this board, but the others as well. Guess the anonymity afforded by the Web brings out less than the best in some...........

    Yeah its a normal cycle. I learned a LOT when I joined the forum, and it's fun and interesting when you are learning, then as you become more aware the BS becomes more apparent and it becomes disilliusioning.

    Many members have come and gone...don't say goodbye, just say see you in a while. Come back when you have a question or a problem. As much static as there is here on the forum, there's a whole bunch of guys that really know their stuff and continue to help.

    I dunno, I still have to get my fix,.several times a day. Yes, some of the posts are repetitive, some of them irritating, some downright mean and/or angering. Guess I've cultivated my ability to skip, ignore, and "consider the source" for those. Mostly I look at those threads from which I might learn something, those for which I might have something to offer, or those which are just entertaining. I skip a lot, but still learn many new things, and still enjoy the community. Best wishes, bmanning. I can understand how you feel, but hope you join us again!

    Ahh winter in Phoenix is nice, great time to get out and do things :W Catch you back here in July or August buddy :B OBTW Ford and Chevy sucks :B :B :B
