We hosted McGrath SB in CA for five winters. TCs were NOT allowed off the truck. The issue was abandoned units....too many homeless in the area. The same was true at every CA county and state park we hosted.
Abandoned TC units do pose a unique problem in campgrounds.
With TTs or FWs or motorhomes, worst case, you call in a tow company to hook on and drag it away.
How do you get rid of an abandoned TC? Normal rollbacks are too high and too wide to slide in under the camper to load it.
The only way to cleanly move an abandoned TC is with the right kind of pickup truck. Most campground service vehicles are golf carts or UTVs these days. I just don't see campgrounds keeping a pickup truck around just to move an abandoned TC when it is so much cheaper and easier to say, "No unloading."
