Yes, that tremendously expensive $14.50 per year for the TT inspection, the $57 per year for registration/tags for the TT and $14.50 per year for the TV inspection and $4 per year for registration/tags for the TV are heavy tax burdens. I almost can't survive paying $90 per year.
And I can get my registration renewed without a problem if I'm out of state only needing to get the inspections done within 10 days of returning to the state.
I looked at moving to Arkansas - where my state income tax would be about $335 per year on the portion of my pension over $6,000, my TV tags would be $21 per year, and approx. $140 per year for personal property tax on the truck and trailer (based on my brother's cost for a near identical setup).
Or Oklahoma where my state income tax would be about $33 on my pension over $12,000 - my TV tags would be $91 per year.
