A great lesson for those that are just too busy to get recalls taken care of. The OP lucked out big time.
Getting recalls done promptly requires the cooperation of both, the dealer, and the vehicle owner. Very hard to get a recall done promptly when your local dealer is very busy, unaccommodating, and lacks customer focus. If Colorado Springs Dodge had been our local dealer, no doubt we would have gotten this recall accomplished much, much sooner.
The "great lesson" here: some dealers provide exceptional service---some don't.
