Yea some are blind and go by what people are feeding them. I have said the same when Cummins posted the best mileage.

I’m not here to sell trucks, hitches, tires, etc.

Bottom line the Ford made better fuel mileage than the GM pulling 30k lbs on what appears to be a flat road using hand calculated method by which most people accept as a acceptable method.

The road I am referring is when they did the towing test NOT the IKE. SO we are talking two different things.

The point is is the road is in TERRIBLE condition. It was a rough ride in my old 300. It was a rough ride in my old Yukon Denali. It’s a rough ride in my Grand Cherokee. It’s a rough ride in my RAM. And it will be a rough ride in your beloved air suspension.

I hand calculate every tan by filling to the top. Solo mileage computer is .4 higher than calculated. Towing in mountains or strong headwind computer is right on or slightly higher. Never is the computer lower.

^^^ Agreed, I've driven several heavy vehicles- fire trucks, some with springs, some with air, same with semis. The air ride equipped trucks ride much smoother, loaded or empty. I don't know if the difference is dramatic, but the loads these pickups are pulling could almost be considered heavy. 30K behind the Kenworth dump truck I used to drive made a big difference in ride and performance, even though it was not a heavy trailer for that truck.

The "previous" units have. Look in the video of the Flame Red model I did not see the load sensors and did see a big spring pack.

At 18:11 in the video you get a peek at the list of options: Automatic Level/rear air suspension shows up under the max tow package.

Good to know! That will tell us if the rear air makes a difference. I personally already knows it gives a better loaded and unloaded ride.

One thing I would NOT get is that specific package because it includes the Chinese Made Curt hitch. I would get all the other parts of that package some other way.
