The price of wanting a "stick"
Not debating manual vs automatic plenty of threads on that already, however for me personally I like a manual and considering I'm a dodge fan they still offer one. But as I look at the numbers payload...

I'm in the minority here.
Traffic in my area means one vehicle on the road ahead of me.
My previous pickup was an '07 Dodge 2500 Cummins with a manual trans. That truck was great!
A change of vehicles (rust is really bad here) was necessary and the local Dodge (I mean "Ram") dealer didn't have any sticks on the lot or incoming. But the Chevy dealer had what we wanted and better $$ but obviously with an auto.
I would go back to a manual if available on the next go 'round.
