Not debating manual vs automatic plenty of threads on that already, however for me personally I like a manual and considering I'm a dodge fan they still offer one. But as I look at the numbers payload...

Are you sure about the Ram? If it does than would like to know how to order a truck that way. Didn't think it was an option after about 2001. The new 2014 has a disconnect (electric I think) front axle with unit bearings. Have to go after market to get disconnect and old fashioned wheel bearings.
Ram trucks have no disconnect of any time and haven't in a long time (at least back to 2003). And yes, there are manual hub conversions available for the Ram trucks.
