Auto ONLY? Or do you mean auto/manual combo? As far As I know, Ford changed over to the newer ESOF hubs in '05 and continue to use the same style down to the current model year. This current style hub is both a manual locking and auto. In other words, if the "auto" locking feature fails (as they regularly do), you can still get out and manually lock them.
Incidentally, these "girly" hubs come at a price. They are non-serviceable. About $200 to replace ea. And of course, you don't want to replace just one. $400 for the two.
Both of mine have essentially failed. The driver side failed in the auto-locked position. The pass. side works intermittently. By far, the worst design ever used on Fords.
The electric transfer case comes with the automatic hubs with manual locking override. There is no way to manually unlock them if the transfer case is in any 4wd mode.
My manual transfer case is mated to the manual hubs.
