Another thing to note on the Ram tradesman, the manual 4wd also comes with a low-profile tranny-hump floor center console. This includes a slot for the 6-spd manual also (you would get the same console with 6-spd, manual or solenoid 4wd). This contains a change tray and 3 more cup holders.
For as often as we need 4wd, my wife is inboard saving the $245 and netting 3 extra cup holders for the kids' juices.
I'm a Chevy guy to the core, but it is really really hard to find fault on what ram has done with the new 3500 DRW in any trim level. If you can handle gas, you'd get darn near 6k payload. If you want diesel, you get as much payload as a Chevy 6.0 gasser!
