So I tried out the TST 507 this weekend and it kept losing the tires. I will have to install a repeater.For those that have that repeater -- Is it waterproof?- Any suggestions on a good waterproof inline switch? I'm having trouble finding one.Thanks!

Mine doesn't appear to be weatherproof. I will be installing it this week. Our TT has a front storage compartment, with 12V lighting inside. Since the trailer is a fiberglass, the RF will transmit easily through the skin. A simple 12V type switch from Radio Shack (if you can find them still in your area), or any automotive type shop. All else fails, even Walmart sells them in their automotive/electrical section.If yours is waterproof, and still want a waterproof switch, any marine supply store will have them. If you don't have those in your area, check out West Marine online.

The Tire Tracker TT-400C is the same unit, different box. The repeater is NOT waterproof and is to be mounted inside. I installed mine in a night stand with Velcro, out of the way and wired it to a reading light above the bed. Turn the light on when traveling and your drop outs are gone. WDP

The instructions for mine said it was "weather resistant", but I from looking at it, I did not think it looked like it should be mounted full time outside. I have a small solar panel that I connect to the battery when the trailer is in storage that uses one of these 12v connector, so I picked up one at an auto supply store, and put the repeater on top of the battery with Velcro - the box is pretty well protected as it is tucked under the "nosecone" of the trailer. Seems to work fine, and can easily be removed and put away when not needed.Edit: It is nice to have it where you can easily view it during pit stops so you can see whether or not the LED pilot light is on ....

So the front right tire doesn't register anymore even with the repeater. I tried to reprogram it and it didn't work. I think the battery is dead. It's brand new, I'm contacting TST - maybe all the batteries are bad.

I just installed the 507 with internal sensors on a 30' travel trailer. It wouldn't pickup the sensors until I added the repeater. Now it works great. So far I just did a temporary install with it in the front pass-through storage area. I plan to wire it into one of the storage lights to pickup power and keep it inside.

I would try a new battery before buying the repeater. I bought 10 of the batteries off Amazon for $7.55 with free shipping.

I would think if the receiver is up on the windshield, it should work with that length trailer. As mentioned, I have a 35ft TT and have no problems. Mines on the dash in that recess where the clock is. It just sits there on the provided base

I was told by them that they program one tire to check function. Then don't do a delete.

X2, I've got the same system as the OP and a 35 ft trailer, moving from a 25 footer. I had the same problem as the OP when I went to the longer trailer but moved my TST receiver up on the dash by the clock and the problem disappeared. Where is your receiver mounted?

Mine is usually on the dash top during travel.

X2, I've got the same system as the OP and a 35 ft trailer, moving from a 25 footer. I had the same problem as the OP when I went to the longer trailer but moved my TST receiver up on the dash by the clock and the problem disappeared. Where is your receiver mounted?

I'm surprised your having that problem. I have the TST 507 with a 36' 5er and a CC long bed. I've had no problems at all without a repeater.
