Tires again

Hi everybody. I want to replace the tires on a 2008 trailer I just purchased. I have a chance to get four new tires already mounted on beautiful seven spoke aliminum wheels. The tires are branded as H188ST with no other information. Does anyone know anything about these tires and their reliability?

  • My answer top most tire threads is simple....Maxis. I'm FAR too particular about my tires to ever install An unknown brand no matter how shiny a trinket they came with. Might feel different if traveling only locally and infrequently.
  • I bet there is a reason somebody took them off and is trying to sell them...Ever see a sign in front of a building that's a H188ST or Tredit tire store? Junk Chinese tires have lots of different names..Stick with a good set of Maxxis and live happily ever after..

  • You did notice that they are Bias Ply, and not Radial,
If that is important to you.

When were these new tires manufactured?

    DOT date is important
  • Take a look at this link. Personally, I try to get tires that are well known/recommended and can be found/repaired/replaced where ever I have a tire problem. Lars

X2, especially when I am RV/traveling in other states. It is important(for me) to find a dealer to deal with my tire issues in what ever city or area I am traveling.

  • That's a Tredit tire, and as shown in the image below there should be more info on the face. If the sidewalls you see are more or less "blank", the tires may be reversed on their rims- some mfr's don't put the size/dot/load etc. on both sides of the tire. (BTW: Not a one-direction tire, so such a "reversal" wouldn't affect performance)
