- nomad297ExplorerI love my manual awning.
Bruce - Opie431ExplorerWe have friends who never put out their awning. It would not be for us but he will not. So you can do without if you want to and the price of a new one is high. A tree just landed on our trailer and we have a new roof and awning paid for by the insurance company otherwise we might set up a tarp.
We always camp in shaded lots but if you camp in full sun it might be harder doing without an awning. - Dennis_SmithExplorerWe love our electric one. Couldn't live without it
- alcaracuExplorerwe awn!
- toedtoesExplorer IIII camp in the national forests and haven't needed an awning. I have also found that in the campgrounds I stay at, the space right next to the RV is NOT a desirable spot to set up my outdoor living area. That area is often sloped or has a barrier of some sort to keep folks from driving off the parking spur (boulder, 4x4 posts, trees, etc.).
I could see it being more desirable in RV parks, deserts, etc., where the ground is flat and there isn't an awkward transition from parking spur to living area. - 2_RetiredExplorerCannot imagine our RV without its awning. Use it to shade the interior (keeping it cooler), for shade when sitting outside, to hang the exterior lighting, to sit under when its raining, etc. The RV looks "naked" when the awning isn't out! It is, however, a personal choice. For us, we AWN!
- youngoneExplorerWe like the Sun. So we never use ours. I only open it to air it out.

X 3,000 - TrackrigExplorer III like my awning and would replace it if something happened to it. It provides shade for both me and that side of the MH when the sun is on it and therefore keeping it cooler.
Bill - SCVJeffExplorerIt's up to you... You want one?
