MookieKat, one thing you need to understand before you drive yourself crazy, is that internet forums are where people come to find answers to their problems. That is why you will read about all the things that can go wrong. The 98% of happy owners without problems aren't online. This applies to ALL forums be it cars, trucks, tv's (television), computers, Keurigs, boats, rv's, motorcycles, snowmobiles, atv's, guns, pets, and on and on and on. Most people come to a forum when they need to solve a problem. They stay because they can learn and also converse with like minded folks.
Thus the forums are full of every possible thing that will ever go wrong. But it's a very small percentage of what's out there. I've been on some forums where it's categorically stated that "this" or "that" absolutely will go wrong with the "thing", but I own one and never had those problems. Everything has a failure rate. Even when that rate for a thing is 2 or 3 times higher than it should be, it's still going to be a relatively small percentage.
If someone sells 30,000 units of something with an unheard of 33% failure rate, you have 10,000 people flooding the internet with stories of what a horrible piece of cr*p this thing is. Notice there are still 20,000 happy people enjoying the thing with no problems.
