I'm pretty happy with my non-slideout Passport 238ML. A lot of trailers with slides require you to extend them to get to certain parts of the trailer like the bathroom. Getting to the bathroom is an important thing to me while traveling, otherwise why have it? If I was living in a trailer full time or didn't move the trailer a lot I would be ok with a cramped interior with the slideouts in, but in our situation most of our camping is accompanied by trips of over 100 miles and the ability to use the trailer bathroom and kitchen while in a narrow pullout on a road or in a small parking lot is important to us. On a rainy afternoon I'd appreciate a little more space, but for us having a non-slideout trailer meets our needs well.
Our Kodiak 27ft TT has two slides that expand the kitchen and living area. I love them. You do have to partially extend a slide to get to the bathroom. This has not proven to be a problem. Even in a small turnout on a 2 lane road, there is always a couple of feet on the passenger side for the slide. Bear in mind that most slides go out 3 ft or less.
