Nice truck and nice choice. This thread is great.... some of you are such diesel "homers" it's funny :) Come on - it's a truck for god's sake. Be happy for the guy and congratulate him. I just love statements like, "Diesel back to gas? Good luck." What is even the point of pushing the computer keys to type that?
Anyway, enough troll bashing..... we all know that's an endless circle.
The 6.4 is a great motor and you'll be super happy with it. I'm getting roughly the same MPG with summer blend fuel as a daily driver. Towing I'm seeing about a 2 mpg drop with the gas over diesel. I had just a few tanks of winter fuel and the daily driving mpgs drop a bit.
In the end, the diesel tows better and if you are moving 10K + on a regular basis it's likely a better choice. For daily driving and towing mid-heavy loads the 6.4 is a real game changer..... it just takes some longer to realize it :)
