My 2005 had the instrument in the cluster. On my 2011 it has to be selected to read the temp on the DIC.

I monitor the temp with my Edge Insight CTS (TFT). The tranny on my 2011 runs about 20 to 25 deg cooler. Based upon the temps I have seen - even pulling the fifth wheel in the summer - no problems. I run TranSynd in the tranny (full synthetic fluid).
