Truck camper AC question

We looked at a lance and the Eagle cap 1200 yesterday and noticed that the AC is not ducted and looking into this further I see most TC's are not ducted so how hot does it get in the sleeping area in extremely hot weather especially with models like the host mammoth or EC 1200 with center structures which would seem to block the airflow to the bed area? Thanks
Mike

  • I've never had a problem with any of my tc. My last tc was a pop up and it had a window unit lower on the wall. I had to have a fan for that one pointing up.
  • While it's not advertised Host was able to run an overhead duct and deflector inside our
sleeping area. You can feel air flow when the ac is on.
  • My 21' trailer A/C is not ducted. I have a little issue with the front bed (half blocked by the bathroom) getting adequate airflow, but otherwise does fine. It just takes a little longer to bring the front of my trailer down in temperature.

I don't remember there being an issue with my tc and non_ducted air.
  • The AC units have a baffle to point toward the sleeping area. It's been cool enough in my bed. I don't have a center island.

I suppose you could add a fan to move the air. People use a similar technique for heat.
