Agree, 'most' car sales folks are only going to educate themselves to the level of
their 'average' buyer...who knows next to nothing on that matter
Kicking tires waiting for brother to deal with the service writer...asked rhetorically
'why is the spare bolted to the roll bar' and the young salesman told in all seriousness
that: "this is our off road package and the shocks are so big, the spare won't
fit down there"
Also, that 'truck' saleman was selling what the OP wanted...which was NOT anything
bigger than a half ton
Best for the OP is to look at the fake half tons made for folks who insist only
on half ton TV's
I'd not touch that trailer with anything less than than a +8K GVWR full sized
