Most full sized pickups use the same body sheetmetal basis with some trim differences
to tell them apart
Most full sized pickups have the same footprint on the pavement
What is different is that the higher class will be a bit taller to a lot taller
Two reasons.
The frame, drive train, suspension, etc ARE bigger, therefore the same body sits
a bit taller
Other is that the fashion statement crowd thinks taller is bad @ss and better...
Over at my Suburban forum folks come over crying that they can't or burned up
something...thinking that their is not difference because they look exactly the
same to them...therefore...why buy the next higher class Suburban (and fake Sub)
because they cost more and get lower MPG...
My advise is the same as before way back on this thread to the OP...you should
be looking for a +8K GVWR TV. There are fake half ton's out there with +8K GVWR
and are made just for your type who only will buy a half ton...
As for getting rid of a sales person (even gals do that)...just speak
technically and ask technical questions. Even after they bring out their
'guy' from their truck leasing department...either that 'guy' will
understand me, or also not know what I know so leaves me alone when
I say: "I'll get you when I'm ready"
