Best tire I had was 2 sets of Bridgestone Dueler Revos. Got 60k out of both sets. They rode great, good traction in various conditions. Only problem was they were expensive.
I went cheap and bought some Wild Country's, and they just didn't ride as well, or wear well.
Currently I've got a set of Cooper AT3s, and they seem like a good compromise. Decent price, good ride, and seem to be holding up well.
