TV Rear Tires

I just replaced the original equipment junk tires with bf Goodrich at kos, and found they rode rough at 70 pounds. Unloaded I put 50 in front and 45 in the rear. The 2013 ram has a low pressure switch to allow lower pressures. The dash light comes on at exactly 43 pounds.

At 55 psi in the rear, the tires cause a harsh ride....when towing I run 60 psi and all is comfy...

2011 RAM Dually 45 rear solo and 60 loaded. Pressures based on load. Use inflation/weight chart for your tires and add 5psi. Even wear. Too much air in rear tires will result in the centers wearing pre maturely and less stopping traction. Also too much air in rear will give harsh ride.

19K on Michelin MS2's and they still look new.

I went to max 80 because the tires were not wearing in the center as much as the outsides indicating tires needed more pressure.....plus higher air pressure gets better gas milage :)

I run 70psi in back pretty much all year on my 2008 F250. I use my truck for work (landscaping), so I haul loads pretty regular. After I replaced one of the tire TPMS sensors (for $100, NOT covered under warranty!!) in 2010 I think it was... the TPMS system simply stopped working and I have just ignored it for the last 3-4 years. When the TPMS was working, it allowed my tires to get down to 45psi before lighting up on the dash - at least, that is what it did the one time it warned me of a low tire before the system failed. I did notice the low tire before the TPMS lit up, though.

From what I read I guess the aftermarket TPMS systems work better than what I experienced.

I run rears at 45 to 50 empty and 75 loaded, I air up just before going to hook up the fiver.

Sticker on my driver's door says 50 PSI front and 71 PSI rear - that's what I run 'em at.

Fronts are 55 psi regardless
