The words "ultralight, lite, super-lite and such" mean nothing. Each manufacturer has their own definition of what they mean. As above, compare actual frame specs, wall construction, cabinet construction and axle capacities. In my opinion, they don't build trailers too heavy, but they do cheaper proper construction and claim those models as a lightweight.
Respectfully, based on my reasearch they do mean something, they all mean its the manufactures attempt to keep the weight down. Obviously this could come with a compromise in quality or even an upgrade in quality along with price.
What Im looking for is a reliable source of materials that are used in each brand. More than likely this is wishful thinking but I thought Id throw the question out there.
I did find some helpful youtube videos actually, was hoping for a matrix so I didnt need to create my own.
The reply suggesting I should go visit each factory is somewhat unhelpful but at least its a response.
I think Im in the same position that any buyer in the market is assuming they arent going to purchase on emotion (feels right) only and want to purchase a product that is less likely to be frustrating.. so while my question may be a pipe dream I think its worth asking.
So far for example, I cant even figure out if these manufactures are all using marine grade fiber board on the floors. Seems fundamental to me to know this.
