uncomfortable travel trailer couch

we have a forest river flagstaff micro lite with a queen murphy bed.
the bed is fine, it's the couch that is uncomfortable. any suggestions. all cushions are sewn into couch, no zippers etc, can not be filled or removed. couch folds flat and bed comes down from wall on top of couch.

Help! Hate the couch, so uncomfortable...dips in the middle where one sits (buttocks area), can these be replaced with something else, any suggestions on who to take to modify?

like the trailer, but hate the couch. the bathroom is huge...love that alot.
  • Try to figure out how the cushions are attached, and remove them completely. Then put a 1/4" sheet of plywood under the seat. Get exact measurements, order some foam online (lots of suppliers to custom cut to your measurements). Get a good density upholstery-grade foam.

You can make a decent inexpensive cover by cutting down a twin-size quilt, and wrapping the foam like a big gift box. Leave plenty of overlap. Pin underneath with giant safety pins. This is fairly easy to take off and wash.

Or you can spend some more $$ and get the foam professionally covered.

You live in Fla., right? Don't overlook folks who build custom boats as a source for info.
  • If it weren't for the Cushions being sewn up I would suggest getting new foam. It made a huge difference with out couch.
