Wow a lot of backseat mechanics out there. Having worked at the Trenton engine plant I can tell you if a valve is dropped on the floor it was supposed to be scarped and reported. As you can imagine no one was going to do that because you would be written up for it (well if it kept happening). So you either dropped it in the flume or built it in the head. It doesn't take much to bend a valve. And ALL engines are leak tested at the plant in both long block and fully dressed out before leaving the engine plants! A bent valve would have been found on the first test before final assembly of the engine!
Why or how it passed a leak down of even the compression test at the dealership I don't have an answer for. As T&P said if it was bent enough to throw a misfire code the cylinder had to be leaking. If it where my truck I would go out with a nice bright LED flashlight and look at the #7 piston. If it hit the head there will be a witness mark on that piston. If you find one then you demand a new engine or start a buy back case.
Sorry for the issues you are having with the truck and I sincerely hope they get this sorted out to your liking.

Small world! My dad was a millwright at the Trenton Engine Plant over 30 years. We lived on an island across the river from there. I've been in there multiple times and have seen the assembly lines - was thinking exactly the same thing. I'd want a brand new truck though. Couldn't imagine going through what the OP is - I bought a brand new Ram with the 6.4 last November.
