UVW on the yellow sticker

UVW....Unladen Vehicle Weight
That is the total weight of vehicle as it leaves factory.
Dealer options/add-ons, propane etc not included

Of course - UVW is the unloaded dry weight of the trailer as it was shipped from the factory, equipped as it was. Obviously that dry weight number will increase with whatever the dealer may add to the trailer before delivery to the customer and of course will further increase with everything added by the owner, thereby creating the trailer's GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) which must under all circumstances not exceed it's GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating). Obviously, as the trailer's UVW increases so too will it's dry factory tongue weight increase and will become gross tongue weight which ideally should land somewhere in the range of 13% to 14% of the trailer's (loaded and ready to camp) gross trailer weight.

I believe the UVW is simply the weight of the unit as it sits, unloaded, no water, propane, or battery. Tongue weight differs with every difference in loading. How much weight is forward and aft of the axles and its corresponding balance can and will change the tongue weight. So simply put, with each trip and every difference in what you put in the unit and where you put it changes the tongue weight.

the tag of Dry Weight.. means little to owners use weight...

my tag is 7,500... my Dry and empty is 8,200.... even factory options are not included.. then ADD dealer and owner...

this is with the battery and propane tanks removed.

Doesn't have to be a Cat scale.

The yellow sticker weight includes the propane tanks (w/ propane) from what I recall, but not the battery, or water in the fresh tank.

The yellow sticker uvw is the total weight of the trailer as it rolled of the line, including the tw!

All are interesting thoughts even though I don't think any two of the answers say the same thing. However, nobody seems to know if UVW on the yellow sticker includes tongue weight or not. Or, if somebody knows they have not decided to give me the answer.

When the factory weighs the TT after manufacturer do they weigh it with the tongue on the scale or with just the axles on the scale? I'm not looking for a lot of hoopla about GVWR, GVW, GCWR or any other info. Just does the UVW posted on the yellow sticker include the tongue weight or not. Seems like a simple question that should have a simple answer (yes or no) to me.

TW and UVW are to different things. However UVW includes the TW of the unit as it left the factory.
Keep in mind the unit generally does not have full LP tanks or a battery at that point so the TW reflected in the UVW figure is not ready to camp accurate.
