voyager camera and newer Ford

Hi,
we are trying to connect the Voyager rear camera (VCC 5130) to our 2011 Ford, but DH isn't able to figure out what each of the 5 wires are for and which way they connect up to the Ford system. Haven't gotten any response from Lance yet and now its the weekend. Has anyone done this that can shed some light for us?
I am not even sure I am asking the question in a way that makes sense.
Let me know,
thanks!

Sue

  • A call or email to Lance should get you all the info you'll need to install. The Voyager was the unit Lance supplied that was installed by our Lance dealer. There is a plug and receptacle between the TC and the truck. Ours has been completely satisfactory, it also works well for night driving. Your Lance should be prewired to accept the voyager camera system ours was. And Lance will prolly have a diagram showing how to wire and mount in your Ford.

thanks for the responses, but what he is trying to do is connect the Voyager camera to the wires of our Ford truck.
There are 5 wires on the camera set up: red, white, black, clear and a sheild wire.
what he needs to know is which wire is the ground, which is the hot, etc

    thanks!
  • Ours is wired so that it can be turned on manually even with the key off and also when the truck is shifted into reverse. the screen is attached to the rear view mirror with Velcro straps. I use it all the time when underway.
