Want to add a battery to my truck camper - help please

A big thanks to everyone! The next dilema is: the camper has no power if the truck is not on or plugged in to shore power. Will the aux battery work when truck is off? I would assume so. I will have to install a shutoff so the auto-switch fridge doesn't always drain it, or just shut fridge off when not using. that would be simpler.
