I use that pink stuff from CW that has wax in it and is made for gelcoat. Works for me.
I do too. It's called Gel Gloss Heavy Duty RV Wash and Wax and it's fantastic. Wash, rinse, and drip dry and I get a spotless, shiny finish. We also use it on our cars.
The Gel Gloss from CW does contain carnuba wax. - dadmomhExplorerFind out something new every day....scratch the Dawn and use it for dishes and ducks. Glad we just use the jug of car wash stuff.
- wrenchbenderExplorerI am gel coat toy poor.A harsh soap will remove all the wax,if that is what you are wanting to do,otherwise a good car soap will be fine.I use Tide and hot soapy water to remove all the road grime and fish blood, than I wax the rigs with Collinite boat wax.The TT and boats. On some occasions I have to use a fiberglass restorer to get rid of the dullness. If you wax, do not use a wax with Carnuba wax,it will yellow with age.

No to any household cleaners for fiberglass, they strip the wax and that is all that is preventing them from going dull. Always keep fiberglass waxed and never use carnauba wax as it will turn the glass yellow. A good marine wax will last longer as well.
Totally agree. I would not use any harsh cleanser like those listed above. The right stuff is cheap and easy to find. It also does not remove wax like the others do. - B_O__PlentyExplorer III wouldn't use Spic and Span. It can be slightly caustic and can damage the finish. best to use a car wash soap of some kind. I like Blue Coral wash and wax.
B.O. - Jack_Diane_FreeExplorerI use a high concentrate of Zipwax. Gives it a nice shine.

- coolbreeze01ExplorerDish soap is OK for rubber roofs, not so good for the rest. There are better choices.
