Hi Big Hat. We did not have evacuation insurance. I can't imagine a scenario where I would want to be airlifted out of Europe. Turkey or Egypt are different matters.
However, I have a long standing American Express health policy through Aetna International. I picked it up years ago when I worked in journalism. However, I believe that the plan has changed recently and they are not taking any more clients.
Its the sort of thing, along with auto and theft insurance that should be researched. I neglected to go into that so its a real good question. Thanks.
