Gotcha.
Do not use silicone caulk anywhere on the outside of the rv. I don’t even use it on the inside. It doesn’t last long enough, nothing much will stick to it and it is a pain to completely remove.
Eternabond is best to seal seams and around protrusions if cleaned properly first.
Dicor works well, also. It is less expensive, but requires more maintenance.
Geocel proflex or Lexel caulks are best for general sealing around trim, windows and doors.
Butyl tape is used underneath just about anything that is attached to the camper.
