Why are leaks still so common ? Is it poor workmanship (which I understand given the current high demand and lack of workers) or could the roof and wall designs be better ? I do not believe that cargo trailer have the number of water intrusion issues that TT have.
Sure water intrusion is the root cause of delamination and wood wall stud/floor rot, but there has to be a way to mitigate that. Better adhesives for bonding the skin to the aluminum/foam wall ? Better glue for plywood floors ?
I though composite floors would be a solution. It has been tried by several manufacturers with very limited success. (My suspicions are they used a wall design they got from the fiberglass "skin" manufacturer and just laid it down. This skins are NOT designed to take a perpendicular load, flexed too much and broke the bond.)
