- HJGyswytExplorerI roll with old heavy stuff. Don't really know how much the camper weighs loaded, it just feels heavy. Stock suspension with the exception of home made spacer blocks I pop in between the overload spring and the main spring pack. Works great for me even when I'm towing a heavy horse trailer with a few horses behind the camper. Hans
- BedlamModeratorWe have an Arctic Fox 811 on a 3/4t truck. If you don't have the heavy OEM suspension options, you will hate how it rides with the TC without spending money to upgrade the suspension (springs, stops, sway bars). Ours had the camper package and only needed taller overload stops to make it level out better. However we tow heavy behind it which necessitated the other other upgrades to our truck.

- dennych1ExplorerLooks like everybody carries heavy which helps me in my decision that I should be able to carry 2200lbs dry weight I think on my 2500hd diesel SB Crew Cab.
Thanks for your input.

- MAV_8801ExplorerHappy with my 2500 .... 2011 palomino 8801. Sb crew duramax. Changed shocks wheels, sway bar, timbrens, tires, removed the hitch, intake and god knows what else I did.
- insp1505ExplorerI don't have a 3/4 ton but if I did it would have an 8'11" Northern Lite on it. Probably this one:
8'11" Queen Classic
or possibly the SE version. I'd have to study the weight gain versus the truck axle ratings and GVWR first to see if the extra features are worth it and if the truck could haul it safely even though it looks like a 3/4 ton is their target market for the 8'11" SE.
8'11" Q Classic Special Edition
Truck mods would be first adding the 1-ton overload springs with stable-loads or perhaps supersprings if it were easier/cheaper to do so.I think the overloads would be nice to preserve the stock ride when empty. Then I'd go from there to shocks. I never needed a sway bar with my 5200 lb Arctic Fox on my truck so I'd save that for last if at all.
There are 3 NL dealers in the North East if you've never seen them. They are quite nice, I am very happy with mine. Northern Lite dealers. - narcodogExplorer IIDo you have a CC or ext cab?
I have a Lance 845 on my 2500hd. If i were to buy a new rig I would get a 855S.
Mods usually just up grade shocks, a sway bar and maybe SuperSprings or something like that.
Personally I have no use for air bags. - bikerdibExplorerI just got a Lance 865 for my 2012 Ram 2500 CC Laramie 4X4.
The camper dealer and Lance website says the 865 is a fit for a half ton truck... LOL. I wouldn't want to drive that half tone/865 combo.
