- Bionic_ManExplorerI agree that the grille isn't my favorite. It is almost ugly enough to go on a Ford.
And as far as who it is for, luxury sells, and it is very profitable. I read in MotorTrend recently that luxury vehicles may only represent 12% of vehicle sales, but it is something like 50% of profits.
There is a reason that all the manufactures are introducing more luxury trim levels. - gtsumExplorerNot a fan of the grill or tail gate. I'll keep my 2014 laramie 3500 with every option:)

I see one of two things in that grill. Either tuning forks or nostrils. I am not sure which is better...
Per Ram they referred to them as nostrils. - The_Mad_NorskyExplorerThen again folks, lets use Peabody's and Sherman's Way Back Machine!
Wow! Now it is the middle 1990's and I've just seen my first new version of the Dodge Ram pickup.
I'm used to the old style Dodge pickups. Gosh, this new one is UGLY!
I'd never have one of those.
Yep, just what I said way back then.
And lets see???? I've owned since then a 1996, 2001, 2006 and now a 2014 Dodge Ram trucks.
Guess I got over my original impression. The Mad Norsky wrote:

I agree that some designs take some getting used to and can mature to a look that becomes very attractive... But on the other hand you can polish a turd all day long, but at the end of the day your still left holding a turd.
The comments that I've been reading on the net (Including RAM forums) about RAM's latest update for the '16 has been from a overwhelming disappointment to a hatred for loosing the RAM signature cross hair grill. Will the loyal RAM diehards put the blindfolds on and still purchase these trucks? Time will tell if it's a turd or becomes very attractive to buyers!- larry_barnhartExplorerI never did like the dodge grill but bought one because what difference does it make I figured. Still feel the same. Couldn't see it when I was driving the truck. I didn't like the GMC grill and after time I liked it better than the chev we bought. some stuff is not important.
chevman - PowerdudeExplorerRam is thinking that there are a lot of people out there with more money than sense.
Considering Ford came out with Lariat, then King Ranch, then Platinum, and they have been selling them, Ram wants a piece of the action.
Whatever. - wilber1Explorer

If you have the money and you like it, it makes sense. - colliehaulerExplorer IIIA lot of people will buy it just because it's there top model regardless of how it looks. I have owned three Dodge trucks and to me they will always be a Dodge not a ram. The ram name has been used since the 50's my 55 had a red ram V-8.
- This comment on the article was pretty funny:
"I could possibly live with that hedious grill, but I will never be ok with that ugly tailgate. "
