You guys understand that grill and tailgate will only be on the Limited trucks right? Talk about fugly, Fords have been the fugliest trucks out there for sometime now. GM's new line of trucks look nice.
Maybe Ram figured one huge badge was better then Supper Duty on what 7 locations of the Ford pick up? Whats up with that, you guys have short term memory loss and need to be reminded what you are driving? :)

Do you like the look? No reason to be offended if others don't.
I don't care for the chrome look but black/body color may look better. - TargaExplorer

Couldn't agree more. Give me a Tradesman with either the 5.7 or 6.4 with a manual transmission and 4x4 shifter. Unfortunately in todays society there is much more of a market for the hideous, blingy, do everything for you stuff vs. the basics. Come on, at least give us the option. - BenKExplorerAbsolutely nothing wrong with any OEM making tons of money...but when the fashion

If you look at where trucks sales have grown the most in recent years this is the market. Upscale, more city than country, aggressive front and rear ends...(Have you guys looked at YOUR grills lately?)
The interior is much like the top of the line 2014 Ram. And looks more Range Rover than Land Rover.
As for the Grill take a look at the 1953 dodge pick up...you can see the heritage and styling clues go at least that far back.
It WILL SELL like mad.
And dont think Ford and Chevy dont play this game...What about the "King Ranch" and the self described "Cowbow-Themed" Silverado High Country? C'mon get real. Luxury pickups sell well whether it's to rich farmers and ranchers to whom it's their Cadillac or to the city guys who want a truck... Perrysburg Dodgeboy wrote:

Don... Why don't you tell this public forum what you really think! :B
Let's just wait and see how the public receives Hegblooms look in terms of sales before basher others. :W

Don - BenKExplorerBilly...not saying not capable...they are, but the layers of bling is tough for
me to get through
Plus...keep mine for decades till can't/won't fix them anymore, or parts becoming
too scarce or expensive
Two of my careers are in computing and controls (robotics, automation, systems,
process control, etc) commercial, industrial and military
Mainly why I don't like 'highly integrated' stuff...more so on automotive
While at the laboratories...GM asked my guys to take a look at their EV2 that
they "Javatised"
Flaky and their engineers couldn't figure it out. My guys at labs ditto...
Well, they had several individual systems running sub-systems.
There was no master/slave hierarchy established...so they all at one time or
another 'thought' it was the master and the others slaves...taught them about
that from my automation stuff
Had them file a ton of patents and sent it back to GM...after a bunch of geeky
nerds beat up some exec's Vette's, Ferrari's, Porsche's, etc Black marks all
over the parking lot...fun times !!!
Back on topic...my 'trucks' are for TV'ing and doing 'work' or 'work'
out there playing...they are NOT 'cars' to me...but to the fashion
statement crowd...they are 'cars'...
But from someone who has 4 vehicles. From the 2 seater still on block
trying to find budget and time (my first brand new vehicle) to my Sub
and noodling getting one or two more...if had to only have one it
would be my Sub...it can do everything...even dirt/gravel/etc...what
a tarp is for...or rent a utility trailer for the really dirty/smelly stuff - TurnThePageExplorerI'll agree with BenK on the gawdy 20" wheels and huge chrome accents. But I otherwise think the trucks have lost no "function" over the years. Their capability continues to improve, and you can still get reasonable sized wheels/tires. The Raptor and Power Wagon both have very credible offroad capabilities, while still being able to accomplish a fair amount of work, and continue to be daily drivers to boot. My 18 year old truck is currently hobbled with electrical/electronic issues. THAT definitely scares me about these new ones.

Some other auto manufacturers now seem to be emulating the ugly Dodge design philosophy like the BMW i3:
Because the OEMs are driven by their largest spenders...AKA the fashion statement crowd
who *WILL* buy these in droves
Why most of today's pickups are insanely tall for 'looks', as their
ratings are pretty much the same...looks over function
Ditto any pickup/SUV/CUV offered today
