- goducks10ExplorerI'd be nervous if I was still getting warranty work done in the 2nd year.
- Jayco254ExplorerI have heard other people complain about Jaycos costumer assistance during and after the warranty, but they were nothing but great to me, so I would have no problem buying Jayco next time, they let me know everything that was going on during the repairs and they were in constant touch with me about what was going on. I received numerous phone calls as the work progressed.

This was 2001-2002. So maybe they have improved their warranty service. I'm sure the dealer was part of the problem, but I even tried another Jayco dealer as well. And.... I do hold manufacturers responsible for keeping tabs on their dealers. - Jayco254ExplorerI don't understand why Jayco turned you down. When the first year of my warranty they replaced the front cap and complete roof due to an a/c unit that wasn't properly tightened down during manufacturing. Then almost 2 yr. latter (and after the warranty had ended ) they replaced the complete floor assembly and one complete wall. I wonder why the difference in attitude.
- carringbExplorerOutdoor RV has a 1 year bump-to-bumper, 2 year body structure, and 3-year chassis warranty. I have had all warranty work done at a dealer that was not the selling dealer, and usually its next-day turnaround.
I currently have a problem with the Lipper Swhintek slide system, and ORV will be transporting the trailer back to the factory to rebuild the Schwintek system, as this requires removing the main slide room.
I had a 30' Jayco previosuly, and will never buy another Jayco product. Their warranty is essentially worthless. I had several major structural problems, one being a buckled wall which they fixed after several months, and the others being a sagging frame and a water tank that tore out the sub-floor. Jayco basically ignored warranty requests on those repairs. I ended up rebuilding the floor myself. The sagging frame was never fixed. I think in the first year, it spent ~8 months at the dealer for warranty work. - Jayco254ExplorerI had all of my warranty work done at a different dealer than where I bought it.

Yea, this is completely untrue. You don't have to take it to your original dealer. Granted, some dealers may try to decline the work or may put you at the back of the line. Like the guy above me said, you can call Jayco and find an authorized repair facility, even if its not a Jayco dealer. - APTExplorer1 or 2 years manufacturer warranties in the RV business. Some of the components are longer. Every dealer offers longer ones varying in what is covered, length of time, and and price.
The difference in warranties is not a significant factory in my opinion. Any trip to the dealer sucks and take considerable time and money for the two towing trips there and back. I'd rather make as many repairs myself. These are not sophisticated automobiles with 100 electronic modules. - Campfire_TimeExplorer

I'm not convinced that this is accurate. I'm on the Jayco owners forum. Everyone who has dealt with dealer issue, to a tee says that when they talk to Jayco, you can take it to any Jayco dealer for warranty. It's the dealer's that often won't service what they didn't sell. The RV industry doesn't have the same policies that the auto industry has when it comes to warranty service.
