I'm on my third camping trip of 2018 already. First trip was not dewinterized, second trip was, third trip also, it was 12F last night and 21F right now. Even did some Wallydocking already here in the North.
Problem is, there's still two plus months of winter left in my locale, so I either have to re-winterize (unloading the fridge and food stuffs that can freeze), or keep the RV heated for those two plus months.
Several parks here in Ontario remain open year 'round for camping, some including MacGregor Point PP on Lake Huron offer a winter camping program where you select a site in the fall, place your trailer on it, leave it there for the entire winter, and camp as you wish throughout the winter. I tried it one weekend with a friend who a few years ago thought it would be an easy way to keep camping despite the weather but standing around a campfire when it's -22 Celcius doesn't meet my definition of fun. :E Other parks that
don't offer a winter program but are still open year 'round, such as Pinery PP on Lake Huron and Mew Lake in Algonquin, can be quite enjoyable if the temps don't drop too much below freezing but then the problem is getting there, which can be really problematic at times depending on the weather. :( My solution is to chicken out and store until it warms up a bit. :B
