I understand your desire for no slides. We were shopping this spring, went into one dealership and told the salesperson what I wanted... got to the no slides part, and just got stared at like a dumb bunny!
A couple other models you might look at are the Innsbruck 275FBG, and the Springdale 260LE. Neither are the open plan you prefer, but I also thought I would like open. We bought the Springdale 260LE, I have decided I like having a bedroom for the parents with a "door".
We also looked at the 2 Jayco models, ended up going with the springdale, as my opinion was the build quality /attention to detail was better.
The Innsbruck, we thought had a horrible kitchen. As it is the model we bought has less kitchen storage than the 9.5 foot truck camper it replaced.
It seems you are willing to consider a single top bunk, so there are a few more options out there, we were only looking at two double bunks, so the field was pretty narrow.
