Amazing all the big things I've pulled our with a F250 and 100' of 1" nylon rope. You cannot get going fast enough in 100' to break it as it stretches bring you to a smooth stop. I have a 3/8" rope fasten to the other end so when I pull something off, it does not go through my back window. A nylon strap does not stretch very much...only slightly better than a chain.
