I was a hard core Chevy owner from my first car in 1962 until 1987 when a Chevy salesman made me mad and caused me to look at Fords. Bought one and have owned nothing but since then for both me and the DW. Reliability has never been an issue with any vehicle I have ever owned, Chevy or Ford. Never a major repair with any. Dodge/Ram I just never particularly like the looks of, inside or out. But that just falls under personal preference.
