In 2005, I chose a Ford over the Dodge or GM trucks. It had the best 3/4t capacities at the time was mid priced between the others. For what ever reason, I have never liked the interior GM layouts - This is a subjective choice to which I'm sure I could adapt, but the Ford's and Dodge's fit me better.
Ten years later, GM didn't sell a Class 5 truck so was not considered. Unlike many others, I had a good experience with my Ford PSD powered truck and would have purchased another. However, Ram got the sale this time due to the value I got for my money without giving up much to the Ford. Unlike the fanboys or brand loyal posters, I do not see the Ram as cream of the crop but just as something that will get the job done. My biggest complaint about my current truck is the lack of quality dealers and the horror stories about back ordered parts. I hope my truck stays reliable, so I do not need to validate my fears.
