I have owned 4 Dodge cummins trucks, 3 different generations, all but the one I have now ( 1993 ) have had over 250k, and "knock on wood" I have never had an engine problem of any kind on any one of the 4 trucks, I have replaced the trans in my 93 truck but other than putting on go fast and pretty things I have not spent a dime on the engines.
that and my cousin "best friend" is a Ford mechanic and is building his retirement fund whle pulling off the cabs of Fords with blown head gaskets and bad injectors on the 6.0-6.4-6.7 diesels.
And I guy I go to church with bought a new 16 Ford KC,DRW,4X4 with everything you could order on it, at first he was saying he was happy with the truck and the MPG, now he never talks about it and when I ask he answer is " well it's not what I had hopped it would be"
he says his MPG is down to 13 just driving around, and 7-8 pulling his 13k lb 5th wheel.
All this being said I am a Chevy guy, just wish Chevy would have hooked Cummins long ago.
