Did any of the Ram owners posting here read the title of this thread? Seriously....9 pages of replies, and 6 pages of those are from Ram owners saying why they bought a Ram.
WHY I BOUGHT MY FORD OVER A DODGE:
I won't get into subjective areas like overall appearance or interior comfort, instead I'll stick to the platforms performance advantages that were important to me for how I was going to use the truck.
The Ford I bought had:
Better tow mirrors
Much better turning radius
Smoother ride
Quieter engine and interior cab noise
Stronger rear axle
Higher load rated wheels and tires
More power/better acceleration
Bigger brakes
Larger front suspension components
Larger cab with the 8' bed
Better integrated brake controller
Higher GCWR
Higher tow rating
Hope that helps the original poster with some relevant information instead of rehashing **** from both brands of trucks that were built decades ago.
And I will add a few more of my own reasons.
Key pad on door jamb to unlock doors.
Built in tailgate step for my arthritic hips.
LED headlights.
Blind spot monitors.
More headroom with or with out the sunroof.
Short box is 3 inches longer so my quad fits in with the tailgate closed.
Colour choices for my tastes.
The low cut front doors like all the big rigs have!
