So, by the count above it's about 15 good reasons to buy a Ford vs. 1 good reason (the Cummins) to buy a Ram. A second would be Ram's available Megacab.
I've gone back and forth on which truck to buy and I'll be purchasing a Ford. The Ram is a decent package, but there is no way I could accept the dead pedal issue which I experienced over and over again on numerous test drives with the exception of one truck.
Now if Ford could obtain the rights to put the Cummins in their trucks, it would be game over for Ram IMHO. If you are worried about reliability, buy the 7 or 8 year extended warranty and don't sweat it for that period of time.
