I don't tow enough weight that it matters and I probably never will with this truck, so I don't feel hampered with 6 speeds. I'm sure 8 or 10 would be better but probably not as much better as the leap from 4 to 6.
I towed with my dad's old 2000 7.3 the other day for the first time in years, and I was just pulling a smaller fifth wheel. My 2015 may be getting a little long in the tooth these days but it's a luxury towing machine compared to that old Ford. It's easy to forget how improved all the current heavy duty pickups are over their predecessors.
