I don’t know the exact trajectory of how the torque builds from an idle to 1800 rpm. I’ve read that the 2021 Cummins 6.7 makes 1000 lbft of torque at 1356 rpm so that’s where I started the graph. From 1356 to 1800.... we know the engine torque increases to 1075 but the actual line it follows likely has a bit of a curve to it which isn’t really going to change the values enough to matter. These engines will never pull at peak torque below about 1800 rpm. The same can be said about the Duramax; the exact curve below 1600 rpm is unknown and not really relevant. I wanted to start the graph at 1000 rpm give a visual perspective of where the power band is in the engines’ rpm range.
