Will 2 Group 31 Batteries fit in a Northern Lite 8-11?

I was afraid of that. I measured a battery box on a new 8-11 last week. Hard to get a good depth measurement because the battery box is rounded in the back. My rough measurement gave me the impression it would probably be 1/2" too short (for two 31's). Thanks for confirming it.
