Recent Ike/Gauntlet runs make the point that current tow vehicles simply go up the hill at posted speeds. No tricks, axle changes, tiny tires, or other enhancements necessary. 6-8-10 speed transmissions coupled to powerful engines has reduced the Gauntlet to just another Sunday drive. Technology won another one.
