Winterizing question
First winter with the travel trailer (radiance 28 quad bunk) and I thought I read how to clear the lines. This was my order of processes:
1) Run the water out of faucets until water stopped coming out.
2) Opened the hot/cold lines under camper
3) Run air through all the lines, closing various faucets until no more water came out. Did toilet and spray port as well. bypassed hot water heater.
4) Opened hot/cold lines under camper again with air hooked up.
5) Turn of air
6) Turn on pump
7) watch another 5 gallons of water pump out of the hot/cold lines under the camper :?
What did I do wrong? I thought I ran the tank dry because nothing else came out of the faucets before hooking up the air. The ONLY thing I could think of was that I never actually turned the pump on when I opened the faucets the first time. Now I am questioning that first processes of turning the pump on and off....of am I missing something?
I checked my pump and it came with a antifreeze bypass valve and hose on it. I bought some antifreeze so I was going to suck it through the pump and hit the faucets with it and then blow it all out again.
So my other question is, where does the hot/cold drains under the camper go to? Is that ONLY to drain the tank? Or are the rest of the plumbing lines tied into it? The underside is covered so I can't see where anything goes.
