Would you buy R-vision with current situation?

If you could get one for a deal, I would. The vast majority of components are common to other trailers, or things that are fixable by a competent dealer. Personally, I'm not particularly worried and plan to keep using my trailer for some years yet.

Exceptions:

Bunk ends (but after they're more than 5-6 years old, the designs have changed and the manufacturers are often hard pressed to supply parts for the old designs whether they're still in business or not).

Things like molded propane tank covers, plastic wheel well molding (mine doesn't have either of these). Those would be pretty hard/impossible to find.

If you are looking for a Travel Trailer that has an expired warranty, I don't believe it really makes a difference if the manufacturer is still in business or not? What proprietary parts are specific to R-Vision? I cannot really think of any. They simply assemble components manufactured by someone else. All the appliances, trims, windows, awnings, frames axles, brakes, plumbing, electrical, etc... are someone elses.

Say you had a minor water leak and want to replace an interior piece of wallboard. R-Vision did not make it. If this happens to your Jayco when it is 6 yrs old, the pattern will have certainly changed by then and Jayco will not have access to it even though they are still in business.

We have a 07 trail bay. We bought it new in 09 and have had no problems. Still looks like new today.

I have a 2013 Trail Lite 27BHS and am having some minor warranty work done at Lazy Days at this very moment. As promised by the dealer, any Fleetwood/ Monaco authorized service center services R-Vision.

Ok, I called Monaco who made our TT and is involved in R vision. As like any other time I have had a question they have returned the call within 24 hours.. It is before 9 am .

Anyway....they said that any TT made by them would be covered by full warranty and as long as parts are available they will supply them.

So if you own an R Vision or Monaco product it sounds like there is no problem.

It does not sound like Happy times in the US RV Industry.I know Pickups have been going gangbusters but there are problems there.

Well I ended up going with a 2013 Jayco 27dsrl.... from what I have read Jayco is pretty good. This one is only slightly used and you can see the quality of the product.. Pick it up tomorrow.

Our 2011 TT was made by Monaco for a Canadian Company. The CC closed, I think the last year for models out was 2012. Anyway, we have called Monaco directly, even as lately as 3 months ago. Even with the Canadian Company going out of business they have helped us and answered every question within a day call back. I just left a message with Monaco to ask about any issues we might have in the future, parts etc. If their customer service is, as it always has been, I will expect a call back within a day.

I wouldn't let this influence my decision. It looks like ASC is still honoring the warranty in any event. If the layout and appointments were what I were looking for I would purchase one. In fact, I looked at the R-Vision site when looking for a new TT the past few weeks...I would've still purchased one if I liked it.

If you really LOVE the trailer AND can get a really good price - agree to use the defunct status to your advantage - I'd be inclined to give it a try. Realize that down the road, your resale will not likely be so great, but if you're planning to keep it for some time, might be a really good purchase. As said, most of the components are the same, appliances, furnace, A/C, WH, so you have a warranty from those manufacturers for however long is stated. If you feel strongly about an extended warranty, I believe Good Sam offers something but don't have any info or price on that.
